Thanks to Carol for inviting me to blog about my experiences while I’m on my lil’ “getaway.”
Truthfully, I wasn’t really planning on blogging, emailing or keeping touch about the trip while I was away. I wanted to just bounce!!! I knew there would be internet cafes and such during my travels to give me a chance to keep in touch, but I had somehow made up my mind to be, at most, “minimally connected”. In my mind, there was something about having my identity fall away for a bit of time and becoming “anonymous”, that felt enticing!
However, friends and family would like to be connected to what I am seeing as well —- a friendly reminder from Carol tonight. Who doesn’t like hearing a story or two or three about other’s travel experiences, or seeing pics of our Other Self in other parts of the world. I had already made the intention to take pictures. And if things work out, I’ll check in here as well and write some tidbits along the way. I think the Flickr account might get more updates, but we’ll see.
